No one has foreseen that the turn of the new decade would bring huge disaster to the world. Even as early as January, our nation was surprised by the sudden eruption of Taal Volcano.Taal Volcano, one of the Philippines’ most active volcanos, had its last eruption in 1977, about 43 years ago. The recent eruption left behind a desolate landscape of destroyed houses, trees, buildings, and entire villages covered in thick layers of ash in the province of Batangas where the volcano is situated.
