This paper presents data on the biology of the Decapterus spp. Of Philippine waters, noting that the nominal species D. macrosoma nad D. lajang are for practical purposes inseparable, whereas, D. russelli is readily recognizable. The two former species are accordingly treated as one. Information on age rate of growth, fecundity, maturity, nematode infestation and food is presented.
