Chronologically stated, the policies and changes in the organization of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources as the implementing agency for the national fishery development program are described. Major supports to the industry are also discussed in this paper. The various technical as well as financial assistance to small-scale fishermen are given emphasis.
